What it is
A porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM) crown combines a strong metal substructure with a precisely layered porcelain surface to provide both durability and natural-looking aesthetics. The metal framework offers excellent structural support and resistance to functional forces, while the porcelain veneering provides the desired tooth shade, anatomy, translucency and surface characteristics. PFM crowns are a versatile and well-established restorative option, suitable for both anterior and posterior teeth where strength, reliability and aesthetic appearance are required.
