What it is
Inlays and onlays are indirect restorations designed to restore damaged or weakened posterior teeth while preserving as much healthy tooth structure as possible. Inlays restore defects within the cusps, while onlays extend over one or more cusps to provide additional protection and support. They can be precisely designed to reproduce the natural tooth anatomy, proximal contacts, occlusion and shade, providing a conservative and durable alternative to full-coverage restorations.
