What it is
A Maryland bridge is a conservative fixed dental restoration used to replace a missing tooth by attaching a pontic to the adjacent teeth through discreet wing-like retainers. Its minimally invasive design generally requires little or no extensive preparation of the supporting teeth, making it an attractive option for selected anterior tooth-replacement cases. Maryland bridges can be customised to achieve natural tooth proportions, shade, emergence profile and aesthetic integration with the surrounding dentition.
